
Takeyuki Hakozaki
Takeyuki Hakozaki produces sound installations and performs live music based on the idea of "extended minimalism."
He creates installations using reel-to-reel tape recorders and synthesizers, interwoven with electric guitars and field recordings of environmental sounds. In recent years, he has been exploring visual expression and exhibiting in art spaces as the axis of his activities.
Hakozaki released sound works for taâlem (Belgium), Post-Rift (Finland), El Muelle Records (Spain), Mystery Circles (US), Dust Archive (Italy), and others. As a composer, he has created commercial works for Lexus, Shiseido, Sony, ANA, Asics, New Balance, Ikea, East Japan Railways, Tokyo Metro, and others.
He has also collaborated with companies designing acoustic spaces, such as an environmental sound production for OMRON ATC-TOKYO, and a stereophonic sound production for the main program of the Tokyo Motor Show.
