In 2014, inspired primarily by the primitive cassette recordings of Wholewheat's Songs From My Parents Basement, Malcolm Govier began recording his own songs to a cassette 4-track in his Atlanta dorm room. Over the next couple years he honed his production and songwriting skills which culminated in the release of his 2016 album Predator on a limited run of cassettes through the Slovakian bedroom-pop label Z-Tapes. Govier now resides in rural Oregon where he continues to write and record whenever possible. His new album Metal Target is scheduled for release in late Winter 2018.
