A Sinuous Path to Pleasant Valley

With two albums and two EP’s released into the world, the David Slowing project continues to evolve as a sonic autobiography of life’s unexpected twists told through ambient forests, marimba mountains, and droning arpeggios.
His latest full-length endeavor A Sinuous Path to Pleasant Valley is a journey through his life moving from Florida to Brooklyn to Austin. Though the project tells David’s story, this new release is his most collaborative and ambitious endeavor yet, inviting several friends to help him craft a soundscape for his narrative.
David pulls inspiration from scenes and snapshots of his own life experiences and influence from a cross-over of minimalist composers like Steve Reich, Terry Riley, and Roedelius with modern neo-classical luminaries such as Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, and Floating Points.
