Cliffside

Cliffside is the debut album from synthesist Brennan Fowler. Defined throughout by plucked + resonant synth motifs, he creates patterns that seem to simultaneously hold things down while drifting at points into their own space and time. Subtle textures dynamically weave in and out of consciousness as tightly synthesized drum patterns worm their way in, often pushed just ever so slightly to the edge. All of this comes together to create a distinct theme and flow that runs throughout the entirety of the album.

This is a culmination of works dating back to 2017, all recorded to stereo directly from his modular synthesizer.
