Stasis

Stasis’ is the condition in which we currently find ourselves amidst the climate crisis. Already feeling the first signs of its magnitude, we yet fail to take action - at least to the necessary, collective, global extent.

This album is about the anxiety towards a relentlessly linear course that seems to lie so clearly ahead of us. A course from a state of naivety or ignorance many of us fall back to out of self protection, to a point of deep regret. About the frustration regarding processes that seem interlocked with one another beyond repair, and the hope that we might turn the tide somehow after all.

This samplepack features sounds from all tracks of the album ‘Stasis’. While also featuring the rather obvious elements of these tracks, there’s an emphasis to highlight the more hidden nuances in between. The samplepack is intended to be a toolbox, enabling you to reshape these elements in any way you see fit and to use them in your own compositions.

All 54 samples are edited as seamless loops but can of course be used as oneshots if edited like that.

In order to remain the original character of the the songs they are not tuned to any specific pitch. There’s also no common BPM. So it requires a different workflow than what you might encounter in other samplepacks. Please refer to the notes PDF included with the pack for KEY and BPM listings where possible (and in some cases, rough estimates)
